A wrongful-death complaint reportedly filed by Mike Heslin’s husband alleges that restaurant staff failed to provide CPR or retrieve an automated external defibrillator (AED) after Heslin collapsed at Javier’s at ARIA in Las Vegas. The account is an allegation in a lawsuit, not a court finding.
What the lawsuit reportedly alleges
According to the Nevada Globe’s summary of the complaint, Heslin was dining with friends at Javier’s at ARIA on June 25, 2024, when he collapsed. The complaint alleges that his friends moved a table and laid him on the floor, but staff did not retrieve an AED or administer CPR. It further alleges that an employee interfered with a person who began chest compressions.
The same report says the complaint alleges that Heslin’s friends were removed from the restaurant, threatened with arrest or trespass, and asked to delete recordings. These details have not been established as facts by a court in the reporting reviewed. The complaint itself, independent witness accounts, and video evidence were not reviewed.
Who filed the complaint and when
Heslin’s husband, Scotty Dynamo, whose legal name is reported as Nicolas James Wilson, reportedly filed the complaint in Clark County on September 18, 2025. Reports describe claims against restaurant and resort entities and MGM Resorts International.

The Nevada Globe lists claims including wrongful death, negligence, negligent hiring, retention, training and supervision, and gross negligence. PEOPLE, in a report republished by AOL, also identifies a loss-of-consortium claim. The Nevada Globe reports that the suit seeks damages including funeral expenses, loss of consortium and punitive damages.
What is known about Heslin’s death
The Nevada Globe’s account of the complaint places Heslin’s collapse at Javier’s on June 25, 2024. PEOPLE’s report republished by AOL says his husband described Heslin’s death on July 2, 2024, after an unexpected cardiac event and a weeklong hospital stay. That description is attributed to his husband; it is not an independently verified medical finding.
