The plunging V-neck and open back gave the look its “naked dress” description, while Fahy said she chose it to honor Merritt Monaco, her character in the series.

Fahy’s Victoria Beckham dress was made from sheer black lace, fell below the knee and featured a plunging V neckline and an open back. The “naked dress” label describes its transparency and lingerie-inspired styling; it does not mean the dress was simply absent or entirely revealing. Marie Claire and Vogue both identified the designer and described the lace look.
She kept the styling restrained: Vogue noted diamond stud earrings and black peep-toe heels with ankle straps. Marie Claire described her hair in a low bun and her makeup as understated, leaving the dress’s lace and open back as the focus.
Why she chose the dress
Fahy connected the outfit to Merritt Monaco, the character she plays in the series. In an interview with Marie Claire, she said: “The character that I play is a woman with a really beautiful heart who is misunderstood by some people.” She added: “I wanted to honor her in this moment by stepping out in this beautiful Victoria Beckham dress that feels very confident.”

Fahy and her longtime stylist, Thomas Carter Phillips, selected the look together. Phillips told Marie Claire: “Meghann and I were drawn to the intricacy of this layered lace Victoria Beckham look.” He called it “sexy and fun” and said they thought it suited the premiere of an end-of-summer show.
