Megan Thee Stallion, whose legal name is Megan Pete, won a federal jury verdict against blogger Milagro Gramz, whose legal name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper. The jury found Cooper liable on three claims and awarded Pete $75,000. A judge later reinstated the defamation verdict after it was initially excluded from the judgment. Cooper filed another appeal in August 2026; the available docket listing does not establish its current status or outcome.

The federal jury found Cooper liable for defamation per se, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and promotion of an altered sexual depiction. The verdict form records the claims and findings. The defamation claim concerned statements questioning Pete’s credibility and suggesting she had lied under oath or deceived the courts.

At trial, Pete testified that Cooper took part in a targeted, coordinated social-media campaign to harass, intimidate, and defame her, according to ABC News. That was Pete’s testimony and allegation context; the jury’s findings are the three claims listed on its verdict form.
Why the award was reported as both $75,000 and $59,000

The difference arose because the court initially found a procedural barrier to entering judgment on defamation. The December 2, 2025 judgment said the jury had classified Cooper as a media defendant for the relevant statements and that Florida’s pre-suit notice requirement prevented judgment for Pete on that claim at that stage. The $59,000 was therefore not the jury’s full award.

How the defamation verdict was reinstated
In May 2026, Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga reinstated the defamation verdict. Rolling Stone Australia and Law360 reported that the judge concluded Cooper was not entitled to the media-defendant pre-suit notice protection under the circumstances, including the court’s view of Cooper’s relationship to the Petersons. Because the full order is not available here, that explanation is a report of the ruling rather than a quotation from the order.

A Justia docket listing says Cooper filed another appeal in the Eleventh Circuit on August 20, 2026. The listing was last retrieved August 31, 2026, and warns that a newer PACER entry may exist.
