John Naisbitt’s Mind Set!: Reset Your Thinking and See the Future was published in 2006. The book sets out eleven “mindsets” and five future-oriented themes as a framework for thinking about change; these are Naisbitt’s approach, not proof that its forecasts came true.
What is Mind Set! about?
Naisbitt presents the book as a guide to forecasting and to examining how people form views of the future. Google Books’ publisher description frames a central question as “How do you know what you know?” Google Books’ description promotes the method, but promotional language is not independent evidence of its success.

The British National Bibliography lists eleven chapter principles, followed by five “pictures of the future.” The principles include “While many things change, most things remain constant,” “The future is embedded in the present,” and “Don’t get so far ahead of the parade that people don’t know you’re in it.” The five themes concern culture, economics, China, Europe, and an evolutionary era. These headings describe Naisbitt’s framework and scenarios, rather than established outcomes. The British National Bibliography record lists the contents.
Catalog classifications place the book in social prediction and psychology, while Google Books also classifies it under business and economics. It is best described as a popular forecasting or future-studies book.

What do the review and records say about the book’s credibility?
Publishers Weekly published a review on August 14, 2006, and its assessment was critical. That is a contemporary reviewer’s opinion, not a measurement of the book’s influence or the accuracy of its predictions. The catalog and review information cited here do not establish whether particular forecasts later proved accurate; assessing that requires checking specific predictions against later evidence.
