McDonald’s Japan’s Blue Hawaii McFizz was a limited-time drink in its 2025 summer Hawaiian Burgers campaign. The announced starting price was ¥300, and the promotion was scheduled to run from July 16 to early September 2025. That offer is historical, not current availability information.
What was the Blue Hawaii McFizz?
McDonald’s Japan introduced the drink as “マックフィズ ブルーハワイ2025” (McFizz Blue Hawaii 2025), alongside a separate McFloat version. The company described its pastel color as inspired by the sea around Hawaii. Its announcement stated that it contained 1% apple juice, but did not give a complete recipe or a fuller flavor description. McDonald’s Japan’s July 10, 2025 campaign announcement is the source for those details.
How much did it cost, and when was it available?
The announced starting price for the McFizz was ¥300. McDonald’s said prices could vary depending on store location and delivery conditions. The summer campaign, which included the Hawaiian Burgers lineup, was scheduled to begin July 16 and continue until early September 2025. Those were planned campaign dates, not a guarantee that every restaurant had stock through the end of the promotion.
The McFizz was available throughout store opening hours. Its paired McFloat had a different service window and a higher announced starting price.

How did the McFloat differ?
| Menu item | Format | Announced starting price | Service hours | Apple juice |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| McFizz Blue Hawaii 2025 | Drink | ¥300 or more | Throughout store opening hours | 1% |
| McFloat Blue Hawaii 2025 | Float | ¥380 or more | From 10:30 a.m. until closing; at 24-hour restaurants, service ended by 1 a.m. | 1% |
These details come from McDonald’s Japan’s 2025 announcement. The release does not provide enough recipe information to compare the two versions beyond their menu format and shared apple-juice statement.
Is Blue Hawaii McFizz available now?
No current availability is established for Blue Hawaii 2025. In its 2026 World Mac campaign, McDonald’s Japan announced a differently named seasonal drink: McFizz Blue Energy, scheduled from June 17 to late July 2026. The announcement listed starting prices of ¥300 or more for the McFizz and ¥380 or more for the McFloat, and stated that each contained 1% apple juice. Blue Energy is a different campaign name; it is not evidence that Blue Hawaii returned. See McDonald’s Japan’s June 9, 2026 announcement.
