Melissa Leong’s tearful moment in her car followed the start of recording the audiobook of her memoir, Guts. In a report published on August 8, 2025, PerthNow quoted Leong describing the day as difficult because she had to speak some of her writing aloud to strangers.
Why was Melissa Leong teary-eyed in her car?
PerthNow reported that Leong shared a photo from her car after beginning work on the audio version of her memoir. The publication quoted her saying: “Today was a hard day. I started recording the audio version of my memoir, and I knew sharing some of what I wrote might be the most difficult thing I have ever had to say out loud to strangers.”
She also said she wanted to mark the day as one on which she reclaimed her story. Now to Love separately reproduced the “hard day” passage and related wording. These are reports of a social post; the original post was not independently verified here.
What is Melissa Leong’s memoir called?
The memoir is titled Guts. PerthNow reported in August 2025 that it was scheduled for release on September 30, 2025. That was the planned date reported at the time; these sources do not confirm current editions, stock, or audiobook availability.
