Ryan was quoted as saying: “My daughter, she’s doing English literature at college here [near New York City], but she’s hoping to study in Bath one day.” The location in brackets is the clarification included in Us Weekly’s published rendering of her remark.
Did Ryan name Daisy’s college or say she was studying in England?
No college was named. Ryan described Daisy as attending college near New York City at the time of the interview and expressed a hope that she would study in Bath in the future. The account does not establish that Daisy enrolled in Bath, or that she currently lives or studies in England.

What did Ryan say about adopting Daisy?
Us Weekly reported that Ryan adopted Daisy from China in 2006 as a single parent. In the interview, Ryan said she had long thought she would adopt, then described the circumstances that brought her and Daisy together as particular to Daisy: “I don’t know how events conspired to bring us together, but it was perfect.”

Ryan also described herself as “a total anglophile” and said she had a “little London dream” of living there one day. That was Ryan’s personal aspiration; it is separate from her comment that Daisy hoped to study in Bath. E! News published a related story on December 17, 2024, but the accessible details do not add a more precise account of Daisy’s education than Us Weekly’s report.
