The report that Scarlett Johansson was pregnant with Colin Jost’s child dates to July 2021. The couple later welcomed their son, Cosmo, in August 2021. This is a historical update, not news of a current pregnancy.
What did the 2021 pregnancy report say?
On July 7, 2021, Vanity Fair reported that Johansson was pregnant and “due soon,” citing sources who had spoken to Page Six. At the time, the report was attributed-source journalism, not a public announcement from Johansson or Jost. It did not establish a precise due date.
Did Colin Jost confirm the pregnancy?
In August 2021, contemporaneous coverage said Jost confirmed the pregnancy during a stand-up performance in Connecticut. The Independent attributed the account to an audience member. The available reporting does not provide a recording or official transcript, so the remarks are best described as a reported confirmation rather than a verified verbatim statement.
Did Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have a baby?
Yes. On August 18, 2021, the Los Angeles Times reported that Jost announced the birth, writing, “Ok ok we had a baby.” His announcement named the child Cosmo and asked for privacy. Cosmo was the couple’s first child together.

Was Cosmo Scarlett Johansson’s first child?
No. “First child together” refers to Johansson and Jost as a couple. Johansson already had a daughter, Rose Dorothy, with her former husband, Romain Dauriac, as the Los Angeles Times noted in its August 18, 2021 coverage.
