In Avengers: Endgame, Smart Hulk’s snap did more than bring back the people Thanos erased: Kevin Feige later explained that Hulk returned them to safe places, so they would not reappear in immediate danger. The movie does not show or explain that placement.
What did Kevin Feige say Hulk’s snap did?
After the Avengers recovered the Infinity Stones, Hulk used the gauntlet to reverse Thanos’s snap from Avengers: Infinity War. Asked what would happen to people who had vanished while driving or flying, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said Smart Hulk was both strong enough to use the gauntlet and smart enough to bring people back somewhere they would not be immediately at risk. ComicBook.com reported Feige’s explanation.
In a separate report on Feige’s Reddit AMA, EpicStream reproduced his concise confirmation: “We refer to the version of Hulk in Endgame as Smart Hulk. So, yes.” The question concerned whether people returned in dangerous situations, such as in midair or on a roadway. EpicStream noted that the safe-placement detail was not conveyed in the film.
Does the movie show where people reappeared?
No. The film shows Hulk making the snap and people returning, but it does not depict the exact mechanics of where each person reappears. Safe placement is Feige’s later explanation, not a scene or rule spelled out onscreen. The accounts report the outcome without specifying how the gauntlet chose each location.

Who did Hulk bring back?
The snap reversed the disappearance of people erased by Thanos at the end of Infinity War; it did not undo every death. Co-writer Christopher Markus drew that boundary when discussing the film’s rules: “No, I mean we only brought back the people who were effectively disintegrated by the Snap at the end of Infinity War.” Fandango reported Markus’s explanation. People who died by other means during Endgame were not restored by Hulk’s snap.
