A contemporaneous report said Mandy Rose repeatedly adjusted her new ring top during her NXT Women’s Championship match with Zoey Stark at NXT Heatwave on August 16, 2022, to prevent a possible malfunction. It does not establish that exposure or a confirmed wardrobe failure occurred.
What happened with Mandy Rose’s outfit?
An August 16, 2022 live report from eWrestling said Rose adjusted her outfit to prevent a malfunction and had to adjust her new top repeatedly during the match. That account supports describing an outfit adjustment and concern about a possible malfunction—not a confirmed exposure or full wardrobe failure. The report is a contemporaneous reporter’s account, not independent video verification.
Which match was it?
Rose was defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Zoey Stark at NXT Heatwave on August 16, 2022. Rose won the match. In an interview published the next day, she described focusing on Stark’s surgically repaired knee; the reported finish involved Rose taking Stark’s knee brace, using it on her own leg, and landing her bicycle knee finisher. USA Insider’s August 17 interview discusses the match and finish, but does not address the outfit adjustment.
Is footage of the incident available?
USA Insider pointed readers to Peacock for WWE content at the time of its article. That does not establish whether NXT Heatwave, or this specific match, is currently available there. WWE’s surfaced official video listing for Rose is a different match—against Sarray on August 2, 2022—and should not be mistaken for Heatwave footage.
