The original 50% offer ended September 7, and the extended offer ended September 10, 2026. Neither is available now, and a future promotion has not been established.
What the 2026 Labor Day offer included
The original promotion advertised 50% off the original price for the initial year of an eligible membership and expired September 7, 2026. MasterClass then offered an extension for eligible annual memberships, ending September 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The discount was for the first year only, not a continuing renewal rate. Who qualified for the extended discount
The extended offer covered qualifying new self-purchasers and eligible gift purchases made through MasterClass.com before the deadline. For a personal membership, eligibility depended on having a new-member account, using a valid current payment method, and purchasing on MasterClass.com. Purchases through the iOS App Store, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or another third party were excluded. Current members could not use the offer to buy a membership for themselves.
The promotion could not be combined with another promotion, applied to an earlier purchase or membership extension, or used for MasterClass at Work. These terms describe the expired 2026 offer; they do not establish the requirements for any later promotion.

MasterClass says it sends a renewal reminder 30 days before the renewal date. Its Help Center gives account and membership guidance; check the terms presented at checkout for any future offer.
Refund terms and gift memberships
For the extended offer, MasterClass described a 30-day refund route for dissatisfied purchases, subject to exceptions that included the terms shown at checkout, applicable law, and third-party marketplace rules. Once an eligible gift membership had been activated, it could not be refunded. Review the offer’s official terms before relying on those conditions for a different purchase.

Is a MasterClass membership a fit for documentary fans?
MasterClass describes its annual membership as streaming access to more than 200 instructors across multiple categories. That figure is the company’s own description, not an independent count. The appeal is access to an on-demand learning library; it is distinct from subscribing to a documentary service or buying a specific film. Membership features can change, so check the official Plans Page for the current catalog and plan details.
