Martin Scorsese’s Martin Scorsese Presents: THE SAINTS is an episodic docudrama about Christian saints, not a single documentary film. Scorsese hosts, narrates and executive produces the series, which streams exclusively on Fox Nation according to the service’s current catalog. The catalog lists two seasons and 13 episodes; an extended episode titled “Mary” premiered March 27, 2026.
What is Martin Scorsese Presents: THE SAINTS?
Fox Nation announced the project on March 27, 2024, as an eight-part, one-hour docudrama following eight people on their journeys to sainthood. The company described the series as spanning more than 2,000 years of history and nearly every continent. Those figures describe the scope of the original announcement, not the current episode count. Fox Nation’s original announcement called the episodes dramatic accounts of individual saints’ lives.
Scorsese hosts, narrates and executive produces. The announcement said he developed the project for Lionsgate Alternative Television. It named Matti Leshem as creator, Kent Jones as writer and Elizabeth Chomko as director. The production involved Lionsgate, Sikelia Productions, Weimaraner Republic Pictures, LBI Entertainment and Halcyon Studios.
Scorsese said he had lived with the stories of the saints for much of his life, reflecting on “their words and actions” and “the choices they faced.” Fox’s announcement presents the project as a personal interest as well as a dramatized history.

How many episodes are available, and where can you watch?
The current Fox Nation catalog lists two seasons and 13 episodes, labels the program TV-14 and says it streams exclusively on Fox Nation. The 13-episode catalog count differs from the two seasons of eight episodes each announced by Fox. The announced order counts should therefore not be treated as the current number of listed episodes.
Fox’s original 2024 announcement described Fox Nation as a direct-to-consumer subscription service and quoted launch-era prices of $5.99 per month or $64.99 per year. Those are historical figures, not verified current prices. Check the official series page and service signup information for present availability and terms.

What kind of documentary is it?
The series is a docudrama: it combines documentary commentary with dramatic reenactments, according to the official catalog. That format makes it distinct from a conventional interview-led or archival documentary, while still framing the stories around historical figures. The catalog does not establish a comparative quality ranking or settle how viewers should assess the historical interpretation; viewers seeking a particular figure’s biography may want to treat the episodes as one dramatized account rather than a substitute for broader historical study.
