What did Margot Robbie’s blue gown look like?
Fashion coverage identified the gown as Versace. ELLE described it as pale blue, with a sleeveless corset-style bodice, double spaghetti straps attached by jeweled hardware, and ruched fabric at the hips. A high slit revealed red lace lining, and Robbie paired the gown with matching blue heels. ELLE’s account of the look gives those details; PerthNow also noted the baby-blue color and red lace along the split.
How did the gown relate to Versace’s past designs?
Vogue described the dress as an ice-blue Versace silk slip and compared its sculptural silhouette to a similar ice-blue Versace design worn by Carla Bruni in connection with the house’s Spring 1995 couture show. Vogue presented it as a resemblance, not as an identical reissue; Robbie’s version had a red lace-trimmed slit.

What is Babylon about?
Babylon is set in 1920s Los Angeles and follows an ensemble led by Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva. Robbie plays Nellie LaRoy, a silent-film actor. The premiere look accompanied the film’s release campaign, but it was a red-carpet gown rather than a costume from the movie.
