No—Lady A singer Hillary Scott is not currently expecting a baby. She announced in February 2025 that she and her husband, Chris Tyrrell, were expecting their fourth daughter that summer. UPI later reported that the baby, named Selah Jean, was born on July 25, 2025.
When did Hillary Scott announce her pregnancy?
Scott shared the news on February 13, 2025. An iHeartCountry report published that day reproduced her announcement: the family was expecting a sister that summer. Scott also wrote, “We have been looking forward to this day and covet your prayers for a continued safe and healthy journey getting her here.”
The announcement called the baby the couple’s fourth daughter and described them as the “Tyrrell Family of SIX.”
Has the baby arrived?
Yes. UPI reported on July 30, 2025, that Scott and Tyrrell’s daughter Selah Jean was born on July 25, 2025. In a statement to People, the couple said her name means “pause and reflect” and “God is gracious,” adding that they could already see those qualities in her.
