Kyle Richards confirmed that she and Mauricio Umansky had separated, but said the split was about their relationship—not another person. She described Morgan Wade as a friend and denied dating her. Richards later said years of infidelity rumors had damaged her trust, but she did not confirm that Umansky cheated or that Wade caused the separation.
Did Kyle Richards deny that she and Mauricio Umansky had split?
Their public statements changed over time. On July 4, 2023, Richards and Umansky denied reports that they were divorcing, while acknowledging they had been going through a difficult year. Their statement said neither had done anything wrong. It was a denial of divorce claims, not a denial that they had marital problems. In October 2023, Richards confirmed that they were separated and said the separation had originated with her. In February 2024, she told Extra that they were not then at the point of filing for divorce. Those remarks distinguish a separation from a divorce: the former was confirmed; the latter was not announced at that time.
What did Richards say about Morgan Wade?
In February 2024, Richards described Wade as a friend. In an Entertainment Tonight interview, she denied dating Wade and said public speculation had affected their friendship. She also explained that some of their time together was connected to a documentary she was producing about Wade. Entertainment Tonight’s interview reported those comments.

In a preview of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale, Richards rejected the idea that another person caused the separation: “There’s literally nothing to do with anybody else,” she said, adding, “This is really just about Mau and me.” Us Weekly reported the February 2024 preview.
Did Richards say Umansky cheated?
At the March 2024 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Richards said longstanding infidelity rumors had chipped away at her trust and made her feel insecure. When asked whether a specific action by Umansky had caused that loss of trust, she did not directly answer. Her account supports saying that the rumors affected her; it does not establish that Umansky cheated. Bravo’s reunion report covers the exchange.

Richards also described the strain of public scrutiny in a February 2024 preview of The Drew Barrymore Show, saying that public speculation and demands for answers did not help while she and Umansky were trying to work things out. Paramount Press Express published the preview.

Bravo’s timeline, updated March 26, 2025, says Richards and Umansky remained married but separated as of December 2024. That is the latest status established in the reporting cited here; it does not verify their relationship or legal status in October 2026. Bravo’s timeline also says the couple married in January 1996; Richards described their marriage as 28 years long in February 2024.
