En una nota actualizada el 26 de marzo de 2025, la periodista Lena Hansen, de People en Español, atribuyó a Mami Kim esta aclaración: “Mi bebé lo perdí por problemas en el embarazo, no por un supuesto mal de ojo o una mala vibra”. Según el artículo, respondió así a comentarios en redes que relacionaban la pérdida con esas creencias.
La frase distingue entre lo que Mami Kim dijo sobre su experiencia y la especulación de terceros. “Mal de ojo” no es una causa médica confirmada en la cobertura disponible.

La publicación de People en Español atribuyó a Mami Kim una defensa de su decisión de hablar de la pérdida en redes: “Yo soy quien elijo qué subo y qué no subo. TVNotas, en una nota publicada el 26 de marzo de 2025, informó que Mami Kim había compartido publicaciones desde el hospital y que su amigo y representante, Vlady Gómez, publicó un mensaje de condolencias. Esa cobertura recoge afirmaciones sobre las publicaciones y el mensaje, pero no constituye documentación médica sobre la causa de la pérdida: TVNotas.
