Entertainment Tonight reported that the campaign raised C$39,022. The update followed a fall her family said happened during her hospitalization after a medical emergency.
What did Mamie Laverock and her family say?
Entertainment Tonight reported that Laverock’s July 2024 GoFundMe update included this message from her: “Thank you so much. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is full. Thank you again. I have no words to describe my gratitude. Love you guys. Thank you. MAMIE.”
In the same update, her family, identified as Nicole and Rob, announced: “The fund has now closed. Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances. Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob.” Entertainment Tonight reported that the campaign raised C$39,022.
What happened before the fundraiser update?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Laverock had a medical emergency on May 11, 2024. On May 26, her family said she was escorted from a secure hospital unit to a balcony walkway and fell five stories. The circumstances of the fall here are the family’s account as reported by the Times; that report does not independently establish how it happened.

In August 2024, the Los Angeles Times reported that Laverock had returned home to family and friends. That is a dated recovery update, not evidence of her present condition.
What is known about accountability?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Laverock’s mother said she was pursuing accountability. That statement is not a legal finding, and the cited reporting does not establish a court determination of responsibility for the fall.
