Makensy Manbeck reached the final two of Big Brother 26, but did not win: Chelsie Baham took the jury’s vote. Manbeck’s competition record helped her reach the final decision point, and she won the final Head of Household competition. She then chose to face Chelsie rather than Cam Sullivan-Brown—a choice she later said she made out of respect, loyalty, and competitive instinct.
How Makensy reached the final two
The CBS finale episode, dated October 13, 2024, began with Cam Sullivan-Brown, Manbeck, and Baham as the final three. Its description outlines a three-part final Head of Household competition, followed by the last eviction decision and the jury’s choice of the winner of the $750,000 grand prize. CBS’s Season 26 episode guide identifies the final three; CBS’s finale page describes the finale and prize.

TV Insider reported that Manbeck won three Head of Household competitions, five Power of Veto competitions, and three AI Arena contests that saved her from eviction. Those figures are the competition record reported in the outlet’s interview coverage, not independently audited statistics. The wins gave her repeated opportunities to shape her position in the game and ultimately helped put the final choice in her hands. TV Insider’s interview with Manbeck
Why Makensy chose Chelsie over Cam
After winning the final Head of Household competition, Manbeck had to choose between Cam and Chelsie for the final two. In an October 14, 2024 interview with Parade TV Editor Mike Bloom, she said she had considered that Cam might have been an easier opponent, but chose Chelsie because she respected her game and valued their relationship.

“I did think a little bit about how bringing Cam probably would have allowed me to have an easier win, but maybe it’s the competitive nature in me, and also my loyalty and just who I am. I wanted to sit next to Chelsie.”

Manbeck later framed the decision as a reflection of her own game as well as Chelsie’s. “Her winning is a testament to her game, and me bringing her there is a testament to mine,” she told Parade. She said she did not regret bringing Chelsie.
How the jury decided the winner
Chelsie won the jury’s vote and the $750,000 grand prize described by CBS. The CBS finale page identifies the prize and the jury’s role, but its published episode description does not enumerate the individual ballots, so a vote count should not be inferred from it.
In an October 14, 2024 interview with Amanda Bell of TV Insider, Baham attributed the outcome to the relationships she built and managed. “I think the vote came down to social management,” she said, adding that she believed she played a more well-rounded game. That is Baham’s explanation of the result, rather than an objective measurement of how the jury evaluated each finalist. She also said the unanimous result surprised her. What Manbeck said she took away
Manbeck told Parade that her goals were “to win competitions” and “to make it to Day 90.” She also said she received $75,000 as runner-up and described the money as a bonus to the experience. That amount is her statement in the interview, not an independently verified payout record. Parade’s interview with Manbeck
