Her interviews and routine videos capture personal preferences at different points in time—not universal skincare advice or a fixed list of products she always uses.
The through-line: skincare before makeup
“My beauty ethos… is good skincare equals good makeup,” Cline told Marie Claire Australia while discussing her routine during Outer Banks season four. She has also described skincare as the base that helps makeup look good. Across her comments, the common idea is preparation: hydrate and protect the skin, then keep the makeup in line with the occasion.
That is Cline’s personal approach, not a guarantee that any particular skincare routine will improve makeup or a substitute for individual skin advice. Her 2022 Vogue Beauty Secrets video shows her demonstrating a routine and a “little zhuzhed everyday look,” including cleansing, skincare, sunscreen, a winged eye and a peachy lip. It records what she did in that video at that time.

Makeup for filming Outer Banks
Outer Banks films outdoors, so sun protection is a practical concern in Cline’s account of set life. In Vanity Fair, she said sunscreen is part of her set essentials and described the production’s makeup goal as “less is more.” She also said she likes wearing makeup, but wants it to look natural. Her example was tinted moisturizer with sunscreen, including Revlon Illuminance Skin Serum.
In her Outer Banks season-four interview with Marie Claire Australia, Cline likewise said she adjusts her routine while filming, prioritizing hydration and sun protection because the cast is often in the sun. She also mentioned deep-conditioning hair treatments as useful on set. Those remarks describe her experience; they do not establish a particular production-wide makeup policy beyond what she said.

In the 2022 Vogue video, Cline said, “Sunscreen, always, SPF 50, SPF 30 minimum.” That is her statement in a personal routine demonstration, not a universal recommendation. The appropriate sunscreen and application depend on the person and conditions.
Everyday makeup: dewy skin, bronzer and a natural lip
In the Marie Claire Australia interview, Cline described returning to dewy, bronzed skin and a natural lip, and said she likes the clean makeup trend. She named Revlon Illuminance Gel Serum Blush for a sun-kissed effect and Super Lustrous Lipstick in Daylight Delight for a natural, hydrating-looking lip. Product names and formulas can change, so check current listings if you are trying to match the products she mentioned.

Her eye choices can stay simple. In the Vanity Fair interview, she said she tends toward tan or taupe shadow and mascara, sometimes adding makeup along the waterline. She described herself as more of an eyeliner person than an eyeshadow person.
A later Who What Wear profile presents a low-maintenance, multitasking approach for a going-out look: dark-brown liner smoked around the eye, a wash of shimmer, a sculpted brow and freckles. It names Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Sculpt Bronzer & Contour Stick and Glimmer Shadow Multi-Stick. This is a reported look from that profile, not evidence that these are her only or enduring staples.

Red-carpet eyes and the “sunset siren” look
For a red-carpet look, Cline has called the smoky cat eye a favorite. In the Marie Claire Australia interview, she said she and makeup artist Jen Tioseco prioritize the eyes. For an Oscars Party look, she discussed Revlon ColorStay Day To Night Eyeshadow Quad in Addictive, ColorStay Multiplayer Liquid-Glide Eye Pencil in Checkmate and mascara. The emphasis is more defined than her everyday look, while keeping the eye as the focal point.
In an earlier Who What Wear interview, Cline discussed a “sunset siren” palette: deep oranges and reds that transition into deeper browns and neutrals. She named Revlon Gel Serum Blush and ColorStay Multiplayer Liquid-Glide Eye Pencil, describing a softly smudged waterline that extends the lash line. This is a particular look from that interview, not a claim that the phrase describes a universally current trend.

Techniques shown in her routine videos
In Allure’s ten-minute routine video, Cline works through several details that make her eye-focused, dewy approach easy to recognize:
- She emphasizes the outer corner of the eye and applies mascara.
- She highlights the inner eye, then contours her lips.
- She uses a fine applicator to add faux freckles.
She closes by saying she likes to accentuate her eyes and eyebrows while leaving the overall look dewy. Together with the Vogue video, these demonstrations offer a clearer sense of her technique than product names alone, but they document particular routines rather than a required step-by-step regimen.
What her product mentions do—and do not—tell you
Cline’s interviews include named Revlon makeup products, consistent with her reported Revlon association, as well as a HigherDOSE Red Light Face Mask mentioned in her beauty coverage. These are interview-era references. The interviews do not establish current formula details, stock, or retailer availability, and a product mention is not an independent test of performance.
For a practical takeaway, follow the look rather than treating the product list as a prescription: Cline’s reported everyday makeup centers on a dewy base and natural lip; her set comments add sun-conscious preparation; and her more dressed-up looks put extra definition around the eyes. The choice between them is about the occasion and the finish you want.
