No. Fact-checkers who reviewed the publicly released Epstein-related records say they found no support for the viral claim that Leonardo DiCaprio ate “child meat” or discussed cannibalism with Woody Allen. DiCaprio’s name reportedly appears in other contexts, but a name in a document is not, by itself, evidence of an accusation or wrongdoing.
Do the Epstein files say DiCaprio ate child meat?
The reviewed public records do not substantiate that allegation. Factcheckeado reports that searches of the U.S. Department of Justice’s released document library found no records linking DiCaprio to cannibalism or to the specific claim. Maldita.es and other fact-checkers also describe the allegation as false or unsupported. Factcheckeado’s fact-check and Maldita.es’ review address the viral claim.

This conclusion is limited to the released records and searches described by those outlets. It is not a claim that every unreleased, unindexed, or future record has been reviewed.
Is Leonardo DiCaprio named in the Epstein files?
Factcheckeado says DiCaprio’s name appears in released documents in other contexts, including third-party correspondence and references to film events. Those mentions do not establish that he was accused of a crime, knew Epstein, or took part in wrongdoing.

That distinction matters with unsealed court records: a person can be mentioned without being accused of helping Epstein. TIME made the same general point in its coverage of the 2024 unsealed documents: its explanation of names in the Epstein documents distinguishes mentions from allegations.
Did DiCaprio email Woody Allen about cannibalism?
The reviewed fact-checks do not establish that DiCaprio exchanged such an email with Allen. A viral post’s assertion is not proof of an email, and the searches described by fact-checkers did not find records supporting the specific allegation.

Why references to cannibalism in records do not prove this claim
Fact-checkers note that some Epstein-related documents may contain references or allegations concerning cannibalism. A reference or reported allegation in a record is not proof that the alleged conduct happened. The reviewed sources do not connect those references to DiCaprio.
- A mention is not an accusation: a name appearing in correspondence or another record does not automatically indicate wrongdoing.
- An allegation is not proof: recording or repeating an allegation does not establish that it is true.
- A search has a defined scope: findings about released, searchable documents should not be expanded into claims about every possible record.
Where did the viral claim come from?
Factcheckeado and Maldita.es report that the claim circulated on social media in February 2026 and trace an early version to The People’s Voice. Maldita.es says that article did not cite evidence for the allegation. This identifies a reported early source, not necessarily the first appearance anywhere online.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Epstein Library is the public repository referenced by the fact-checkers. Its access and indexing can change, so the findings described here concern the records and searches those outlets reviewed.
