PerthNow reported that Katy Perry’s hairstylist, Andrew Ly, visited Le Vietnam and later collected a mixed bánh mì platter for Perry’s team during her June 2025 Perth visit. The account came from the shop’s owner, DJ Lee—not from a direct interview with Perry.
What happened at Le Vietnam?
In a report published on 24 June 2025, PerthNow’s Zach Margolius said Ly visited the Perth bánh mì shop on a Friday, returned on Monday to collect a mixed platter for Perry’s team, and placed another order on Tuesday. The report attributed the sequence to Le Vietnam owner DJ Lee and also cited a social-media post by Ly. It did not present independent confirmation from Perry or her representatives. PerthNow reproduced Ly’s post: “I randomly stumbled into @LeVietnamcafe in Perth, and this has got to be the best Bahn Mi I’ve ever had — hands down,” he wrote.
What did Katy Perry reportedly think of the food?
According to PerthNow, Lee said Ly told him Perry considered the bánh mì the best she had had, describing it as balanced and superbly done. That is a second-hand account relayed from Perry through Ly to Lee; it is not a direct quotation or statement from Perry.
