People en Español informó el 8 de agosto de 2023 que Raisa había compartido el diagnóstico en Instagram Stories. People en Español y E! News presentaron la noticia como una revelación de Raisa, no como una evaluación clínica independiente.
Raisa también compartió el libro Living With PCOS: Road To Reversal, de Candice Craig. Su mención forma parte del contexto de sus Stories; por sí sola no acredita el libro como guía médica ni implica una recomendación terapéutica.
Qué es el PCOS y cómo puede presentarse
El síndrome de ovario poliquístico puede manifestarse de distintas maneras. Entre los signos posibles están los períodos irregulares, la infertilidad, el exceso de vello y el acné. Según el American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), no es necesario presentar todos los síntomas para recibir un diagnóstico.

ACOG indica que hasta 13 de cada 100 personas en edad reproductiva en Estados Unidos tienen PCOS. Esa cifra corresponde a la población estadounidense descrita por la organización; no debe leerse como una estimación mundial.
La condición puede asociarse con resistencia a la insulina, diabetes tipo 2 y enfermedad cardiovascular. Son asociaciones generales descritas por ACOG y no información sobre la salud personal de Raisa.

Cómo se evalúa y se maneja la condición
No existe una prueba única que confirme PCOS. El Office on Women’s Health de Estados Unidos explica que la evaluación puede incluir la revisión de antecedentes y síntomas, un examen físico y análisis u otras pruebas para descartar condiciones con manifestaciones similares.
El manejo depende de cada persona: puede considerar los síntomas que se busca tratar, otros problemas de salud y los planes de embarazo. Las opciones pueden incluir cambios de hábitos y medicamentos, pero corresponde a un profesional de salud valorar qué resulta apropiado en cada caso.

Qué se sabe —y qué no— sobre una «crisis de salud»
La cobertura de agosto de 2023 documenta que Raisa reveló tener PCOS y que seguía aprendiendo a vivir con la condición. No aporta evidencia de una emergencia actual ni de otra crisis médica distinta. Por eso, describir la noticia como una crisis presente iría más allá de lo que informaron las fuentes.
