Her statement was a criticism of appearance-based mockery and an attribution of that behavior to liberals and extremists. It does not establish who, in general, makes such jokes, nor does it verify the episode’s satirical portrayal as a factual description of Noem.
Which South Park episode featured Noem?
The episode was “Got a Nut,” season 27, episode 2. Paramount+’s official listing identifies the episode. The satire targeted Noem’s appearance and included a dog-shooting gag.

The gag drew on a separate, reported context: The Guardian connected it to Noem’s account in her memoir of shooting and killing her family’s dog. That memoir account is background to the joke; the episode itself is satire, not independent evidence about the event.
Had Noem watched the episode when she criticized it?
The Guardian reported that Noem criticized the episode before watching it. In later coverage, Inside Edition reported on August 8, 2025 that she watched it with her family and laughed. These reports describe an initial reaction followed by a later viewing, rather than necessarily conflicting accounts.
Rank #2
What was the disagreement about?
Noem objected specifically to jokes about women’s appearance. The episode’s portrayal extended beyond that subject, combining appearance-based satire with a reference to the dog story described in her memoir. Keeping those elements distinct matters: her criticism addresses one dimension of the episode, while the episode used multiple targets and comedic devices.
The available reporting establishes Noem’s remarks and the viewing timeline, but does not establish a directly relevant response from the show’s creators to her interview. Paramount+’s listing confirms the episode identification; it does not establish current availability in every territory or under every subscription arrangement.
