Who was Kris Jenner’s sister?
Karen Houghton was Jenner’s younger sister and, according to ET, her only sibling. Houghton was the daughter of Mary Jo Campbell and Robert True Houghton, lived in San Diego and had a daughter, Natalie. She largely stayed out of the family’s reality shows.
Jenner discussed her relationship with Houghton in her 2011 memoir, Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian, ET reported. That background provides context, but it does not establish private details about the sisters’ relationship.

What was reported about Houghton’s death?
ABC News reported on March 19, 2024, that the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Houghton died on March 18. The department’s media relations director, Lt. David LaDieu, told ABC deputies responded to a “medical aid call for service” at approximately 1:28 p.m. local time. Carlsbad Fire Department personnel were providing lifesaving care when deputies arrived.
ABC’s report said the cause and manner of death were not immediately clear at that time. It did not establish a cause, so the medical-aid response should not be taken as one.
