Why was Anahí’s appearance called a return?
Contemporary coverage characterized the concert as Anahí’s first stage appearance in 11 years. People en Español reported that her last concert had been in 2011, during her Go Any Go tour. The description refers to performing onstage; it should not be read as a claim that she had no public or musical activity during that period. People en Español also noted her participation in a virtual RBD event in 2020.
Anahí acknowledged the gap herself, saying she had been away and that the nerves were strong. Karol G later praised her in an Instagram caption quoted by People en Español: “It was incredible to see how after all these years of absence you still shine with such intensity.”
