Rhino hires him, and the film’s guide describes his ability as appearing behind someone unexpectedly. He is a separate character from Kraven, whose identity is Sergei Kravinoff.
Who is the Foreigner in Kraven the Hunter?
Netflix Tudum identifies the Foreigner as an assassin hired by Rhino. The character is portrayed by Christopher Abbott. He is not Kraven under another name, nor is he Dmitri Kravinoff, the separate character known as the Chameleon.
What are the Foreigner’s powers?
Netflix Tudum describes the Foreigner’s unusual ability as suddenly being behind someone without them expecting it. That is the film guide’s description of this movie character; it should not be treated as a definitive account of the character’s abilities in every Marvel comic appearance.
Is the Foreigner a Marvel character?
The film draws on Marvel characters but presents them in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. That continuity is distinct from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films starring Tom Holland. Netflix Tudum notes that Kraven and Dmitri/Chameleon were created for The Amazing Spider-Man comics and that Kraven first appeared in issue #15 in August 1964. Marvel’s profile describes Kraven, Sergei Kravinoff, as a world-famous explorer and game hunter drawn to the challenge of taking down Spider-Man.

The official material cited here establishes the Foreigner’s role and ability as presented in the 2024 film, but does not establish a detailed comic-book origin or a complete account of his powers across comic continuities. The movie description therefore should not be assumed to cover every version of the character.
