What Kirsten Storms said in her latest health update
Storms’s most recent reported account of the aneurysm decision came in December 2025. As quoted by Just Jared on December 23, 2025, she said a new neurosurgeon in St. Louis described her as being in a “gray zone”: monitoring the aneurysm or having it treated with coiling were options. She said the doctor told her she was not in immediate danger, while she was still deciding whether she felt comfortable with monitoring.
Storms’s description is her account of a conversation with her physician, not a medical record or advice for other people. The reporting does not name the neurosurgeon or provide an aneurysm measurement.
Did Kirsten Storms have brain surgery?
Storms had brain surgery in 2021 to remove a cyst that was causing problems. In October 2025, she explained that her neurosurgeon had continued monitoring another cyst that remained after that operation.

The later aneurysm was a separate issue. Storms said a January 2025 scan, ordered after symptoms doctors thought might be brain-related, revealed an aneurysm on the right side of her brain. She described those symptoms as “symptoms that the doctors thought could’ve been brain-related,” in an account reported by TV Insider on October 14, 2025.
How the aneurysm treatment discussion changed
In October 2025, Storms said she had undergone a diagnostic procedure that weekend and initially expected to have coiling within about two weeks, according to TV Insider. That was her plan at the time; it does not establish that the procedure later happened.

By December, her account had shifted to a choice between continued monitoring and coiling after consulting a new neurosurgeon. The December report did not say that she had chosen one option or undergone a procedure. The available coverage therefore supports a timeline of changing plans and discussion, not a confirmed treatment outcome.
