Its winter voiceover reflects on stillness and nature; an accompanying signed post describes the project as both a personal creative reflection and a story about collective healing.
What did Kate say in her 44th birthday video?
The winter installment focuses on reflection, gratitude and connection with nature. In the voiceover, the Princess says: “Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration.” Sky News and ITV News reported the line on January 9, 2026.
Why was the video called “deeply personal”?
In the signed post accompanying the video, Catherine wrote: “The Mother Nature series has been a deeply personal, creative reflection on how nature has helped me heal.” She added: “But it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing.” The Guardian also reported the post and its message on January 9.
The wording presents the series as an account of her own experience and a broader reflection on healing. It is not a medical update or evidence that nature treats cancer.

How does the birthday video fit into the Mother Nature series?
The winter video was the concluding installment of the quarterly Mother Nature series, rather than a separate birthday announcement. The seasonal format gives the winter reflection its place in a continuing creative project. Sky News and ITV News identified it as the final installment on January 9, 2026.

The video appeared days before the first anniversary of Catherine’s January 2025 announcement that her cancer was in remission. That timing is relevant context, but the birthday video itself did not announce new health information. Sky News reported the anniversary context alongside the video.
