Kardashian confirmed to Vogue that the pearls were real, and Schiaparelli identified them as freshwater pearls. The available reporting does not establish their grading, sourcing origin, or a separate valuation.
How the couture look was made
Schiaparelli said a dozen artisans spent over 1,000 hours making the look. The house explained that each strand was strung and draped to Kardashian’s body, making the placement part of the custom construction rather than simply attaching a ready-made pearl net to a dress. Vogue also reported the dozen-artisan team and more than 1,000 hours of work.

Why Kardashian chose pearls
In a Vogue red-carpet interview, Kardashian connected her choice to Karl Lagerfeld’s long association with Chanel and its signature pearls: “I thought, what is more Karl?
