Suborbital means the capsule reached space and then came back without entering orbit around Earth. It was not a long-duration orbital journey, and the passengers were not carrying out professional astronaut mission duties.
Who was on Katy Perry’s Blue Origin flight?
Blue Origin’s mission announcement listed six passengers:

These are distinct historical descriptions, not a claim that no women had ever flown together in space. The six NS-31 passengers also came from varied professional backgrounds; they were not all career astronauts.
How much did Katy Perry’s space trip cost?
AP reported that Blue Origin declined to disclose how much the flight cost or who paid what. No substantiated passenger-specific price is available here, so it is not established that Perry bought her seat or what any individual passenger paid. The mission was part of a commercial space tourism program, but that does not establish current ticket availability or pricing.
What did Katy Perry say before launch?
In a preflight AP interview, Perry said: “I was listening to ‘Cosmos’ by Carl Sagan and reading a book on string theory.” She also described her personal hope that the trip would encourage girls to imagine going to space, saying she wanted “to inspire so many different people but especially young girls to go, ‘I’ll go to space in the future.’” That was Perry’s stated aim, not evidence of a measured social impact.
