Jenna Ortega wanted Cousin Itt to appear in Wednesday. That was her stated preference—not confirmation that the character joined Season 2. Netflix’s official Season 2 materials identify Grandmama Hester, played by Joanna Lumley, as part of the season; the cited sources do not establish whether Cousin Itt appeared.
Which Addams Family character did Jenna Ortega want to see?
Ortega named Cousin Itt when asked which previously unseen Addams Family character she would like to see in Wednesday, according to Entertainment Tonight. The report presents her answer indirectly, so it should not be recast as a verbatim quote.
The same report says other cast members were interested in Grandmama. That is separate from Ortega’s preference: she named Cousin Itt, while the cast report also records support for Grandmama.
Is Cousin Itt confirmed for Wednesday Season 2?
Not by the sources cited here. Ortega’s wish is not evidence that the character was cast or appeared. Netflix’s official Season 2 cast guide identifies Grandmama Hester as a new character, but it does not confirm Cousin Itt.

Which Addams family member does Season 2 confirm?
Netflix confirms Grandmama Hester, played by Joanna Lumley. In Netflix Tudum’s coverage of the character, Ortega describes Wednesday and Grandmama as best friends: “Wednesday and Grandmama — who’s played by the beautiful, wonderful Joanna Lumley — are best friends,” Ortega explains. The statement describes Wednesday’s relationship with Grandmama; it does not change which character Ortega had earlier said she wanted to see.
