A Welsh bed-and-breakfast shared a previously unseen photo of Kate Middleton and Prince William about a year after the couple stayed there during a 2023 visit to Wales. Their outfits appear to match what they wore in Aberfan on April 28, 2023, suggesting—but not confirming—that the picture was taken that morning.
Where the photo was taken
The image was shared by Duffryn Mawr Country House, a Welsh country-house accommodation where the Prince and Princess of Wales stayed during a visit to Wales. The property posted it roughly a year after the stay, according to Town & Country.
Why reports connect it to April 28, 2023
In the photograph, the couple appear in the same outfits they wore during their visit to Aberfan on April 28, 2023. Time and Town & Country use that clothing match to suggest the B&B photo was taken on the morning of April 28. It is an inference from their appearance, not a confirmed timestamp: the available reporting does not establish exactly when the image was captured.
What the B&B said
Town & Country relayed the wording accompanying the property’s Facebook post: “So kind and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them stay here.” The remark is attributed to the establishment’s post, not to a named individual.
