What is the status of the BRZRKR movie?

What is BRZRKR about?
B is a half-mortal, half-god immortal warrior, cursed and driven toward violence. After wandering through the ages, he takes on dangerous missions for the U.S. government in exchange for answers about his existence and a way to end it. Netflix described the comic as “a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages.” That is the publisher’s fictional premise, not a verified historical lifespan.
The comic was created by Keanu Reeves, co-written by Reeves and Matt Kindt, and illustrated by Ron Garney. BOOM!’s series page gives the publisher’s synopsis and lists the collected edition BRZRKR Vol. 1 for readers who want to explore the source material. It is the comic, not confirmed film merchandise.

How does the anime fit into the plan?
The anime was announced as a spinoff intended to follow the live-action feature, not as a replacement for it. The 2021 announcements describe that sequence, but the cited updates do not establish a release schedule or further creative details for the anime.

Netflix’s March 22, 2021 announcement said the first issue had sold over 615,000 copies and called it the highest-selling launch in almost thirty years. BOOM! repeated the figure in its announcement. It is a claim from the 2021 announcements, not a current sales tally.
