Kirara Hoshi’s cursed technique, Love Rendezvous, marks cursed energy with five star-named points and makes movement between those marks follow a fixed order. Targets bearing the same mark attract one another. Megumi Fushiguro works out those rules during their confrontation and turns the technique’s own movement effects against Kirara.
What is Kirara’s cursed technique?
Love Rendezvous is Kirara Hoshi’s innate cursed technique. It places marks on cursed energy, using five names associated with stars in the Southern Cross: Imai, Acrux, Mimosa, Ginan, and Gacrux. The marks are not simply labels attached to physical objects; a person or object can be involved because the technique marks the cursed energy associated with it.

The marks establish an ordered route. The chapter account describes their sequence by their relative distance from Earth, from nearest to furthest. A target bearing one mark cannot freely approach a target with another mark from any direction: it must move through the prescribed sequence. When two targets have the same mark, they attract each other.
How does Love Rendezvous work?
Different marks impose an order
The five marks function like waypoints. Having a mark does not let someone move directly toward any other marked target; the required sequence governs how they can close the distance. This is why the technique initially makes the route to Kirara seem blocked rather than simply pulling opponents toward a single point.

Matching marks cause attraction
Two targets with the same mark are drawn together. The effect is not best understood as a universal pull in one fixed direction: what matters is which targets share a mark and how they are positioned at that moment. That distinction becomes central to Megumi’s counter.
Kirara can reassign marks
Because Love Rendezvous acts on cursed energy, Kirara can change which mark is assigned to a target rather than only tagging a fixed physical object. During the fight, Kirara removes the Ginan mark from their own cursed energy and places Acrux on nearby objects. Those objects then share Megumi’s Acrux mark and are drawn toward him, turning the attraction rule into an attack.

How did Megumi get past Kirara’s technique?
He notices that the route is the key
Panda first finds that he cannot get closer to the monitor-room door, which bears a different mark from his own. In the confrontation that follows, Kirara marks Megumi and interacts with Divine Dog, using matching marks to disrupt Megumi’s control of the encounter.
Megumi tests what is happening by summoning Rabbit Escape. He notices repeated Acrux marks and identifies Gacrux on the door. Rather than treating the marks as arbitrary obstacles, he looks for the missing Mimosa point and uses the discovered sequence to work out a route toward Kirara.

He uses Divine Dog and positioning
Kirara changes the arrangement after Megumi has begun to infer the route, assigning Acrux to objects so they are attracted to Megumi. Megumi’s response depends on predicting how the matching marks will draw targets in that particular setup; the chapter account presents his directional prediction as a gamble, not a guaranteed property of the technique.
Megumi positions Kirara between himself and Divine Dog, which has been held against a wall. He then releases the shikigami. The attraction carries Divine Dog toward Megumi and into Kirara. Once Divine Dog catches them, Kirara cancels Love Rendezvous.
