Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer appeared in footage from The Fantastic Four: First Steps shown to CinemaCon attendees on April 3, 2025, according to TheWrap’s event report. That confirms a CinemaCon reveal, but not that the complete footage was released publicly. Disney identifies Garner as the Silver Surfer, Galactus’s herald, and visual-effects vendor Framestore says the character was entirely keyframe animated.
What did CinemaCon attendees see?
TheWrap reported on April 3, 2025, that CinemaCon attendees saw footage featuring Garner as the Silver Surfer in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The report is an account of footage shown at the event, not a studio transcript or the footage itself. It does not establish a detailed, independently verifiable shot-by-shot description.
That distinction matters if you are looking for a clip: the available evidence here does not confirm that the complete CinemaCon footage was made publicly available. An event screening and a public trailer are not the same thing.
Who is Garner’s Silver Surfer in the film?
Disney’s official film synopsis identifies Garner as the Silver Surfer and describes the character as the enigmatic Herald of Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson. The synopsis says the Fantastic Four “must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).”

Framestore, a visual-effects vendor on the film, says Garner’s Silver Surfer was “completely keyframe animated.” The company contrasts that approach with motion capture used for Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s character. This is Framestore’s account of the production technique; it does not, by itself, establish how every visual element in the CinemaCon footage was made.
