The Gojo past-arc movie trailer and release date were announced on March 23, 2025: Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death opened in Japanese theaters on May 30, 2025. That date has passed. The film is a compilation of the school-years story of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, not a new standalone storyline.
What the Gojo past-arc movie is
Officially titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death (Japanese: Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu), the film brings together the arc focused on Gojo and Geto during their time at Jujutsu High. The official announcement described them as “the strongest two.” It revisits their past rather than introducing a separate new story. The anime’s March 23, 2025 announcement included the full trailer and the Japanese theatrical date.

The March 2025 movie announcement is distinct from later television news. The franchise’s fifth-anniversary schedule placed the compilation film among 2025 events and listed Season 3 for January 2026. Crunchyroll later reported a separate Season 4 teaser in June 2026. Neither later update changes the movie’s May 30, 2025 Japanese theatrical date.
