What is the Tom Cruise movie called?
The film is Digger, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. Injury reports in 2025 referred to it as an untitled project, but the title has since been announced. TheWrap lists Tom Cruise, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde and Riz Ahmed in the cast.
TheWrap describes the premise as “the most powerful man in the world” setting out to prove he can save humanity. In its review, The Atlantic characterizes the story as a satirical disaster narrative involving an oil-drilling operation and a crisis threatening millions; that is the reviewer’s description, not the studio’s logline. The Atlantic identifies Cruise as Digger and Goodman as the U.S. president.
