Who did John Cena choose: Ronaldo or Messi?
Cena’s reported answer was Cristiano Ronaldo. In an interview with the BBC, as quoted by Goal, he said: “If I had to name some famous footballers, I would start and end with Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s all.” Goal’s report presents the comment as his response about famous footballers, rather than a detailed comparison of Ronaldo and Messi.
Expansión’s Life and Style framed the question as “Messi or Cristiano?” in its 18 December 2017 account. The report’s Spanish rendering of Cena’s answer likewise names Ronaldo. Read the Expansión report.
Did John Cena name a favourite Premier League team?
The reports recount a visit to Tottenham’s stadium; they do not show Cena declaring Tottenham his favourite Premier League club. A stadium visit is not evidence of club allegiance, so it would be inaccurate to present Tottenham as his confirmed favourite based on these accounts.

What did Cena say about visiting Tottenham’s stadium?
Cena recalled that Tottenham were playing during the London leg of a 2008 tour. He visited the stadium and had the opportunity to walk on the pitch, according to the accounts from Goal and Expansión. Expansión also reports that he said, hypothetically, that if he had been a footballer, his best role might have been coach.
