Graphic designer and Instagram creator Joel Pringle disappeared from the Lagoon in Airlie Beach, Queensland, on 19 August 2024. His family said he was found late on 17 September and had died. His partner, Eve Houghton, announced the news on 18 September. Reports published the following day said his death was being treated as non-suspicious and that a report would be prepared for the coroner; they did not state a cause of death.

Pringle, described in the reporting as a Queensland father and graphic designer, was reported missing after disappearing from the Lagoon in Airlie Beach on 19 August 2024. After a search lasting about four weeks, his family said he had been found late on 17 September and had passed away. The family’s announcement was shared by his partner, Eve Houghton, on 18 September.
PerthNow and The Nightly reported on 19 September that the death was being treated as non-suspicious and that a report would be prepared for the coroner. Those reports do not provide a cause of death or describe the circumstances in which he was found.

The statement also thanked those who had supported the search, including police, water police, SES, local businesses, family, friends and volunteers.
What was reported about Pringle’s public profile?
PerthNow described Pringle as a popular graphic designer, originally from Melbourne, known for his logo designs. The outlet reported that he had more than 40,000 Instagram followers at the time of its September 2024 article. That is a historical figure from the report, not a current follower count.
