“Parents,” the episode identified as Season 2 Episode 22 in Crunchyroll’s June 2024 calendar, premiered in Japan on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. JST. A contemporaneous report listed its Crunchyroll release time as 8:30 a.m. PT, 10:30 a.m. CT, and 11:30 a.m. ET that day. These are historical times, not a current streaming schedule.
When did “Parents” come out?
The Japanese premiere of “Parents” was reported for Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time. The contemporaneous release-time report gave the corresponding Crunchyroll availability as 8:30 a.m. Pacific, 10:30 a.m. Central, and 11:30 a.m. Eastern on June 16. Hindustan Times’ report is a dated account of that release, not a live schedule.
Crunchyroll’s June 2024 simulcast calendar lists an English-language Episode 22 titled “Parents.” Streaming access today may differ by territory and language; the historical calendar does not establish current availability.
Why do episode listings show different titles?
Episode numbering is not consistent across the listings reviewed. Crunchyroll’s calendar identifies “Parents” as Episode 22, while Apple TV’s US catalog labels its Season 2 Episode 22 “Magic Circle to the Sixth Stratum” and displays June 30, 2024. The available listings do not explain the difference in catalog numbering or date conventions. To avoid mixing them up, use the episode title and identify the platform when citing an episode number.

What was the Japanese broadcast schedule?
The anime’s official on-air schedule gives regular broadcast times, not a separate episode-specific announcement:
- Tokyo MX and BS11: Sunday at 24:00, meaning midnight after Sunday (Monday 00:00).
- KBS Kyoto: Sunday at 24:45 (Monday 00:45).
- Sun TV: Sunday at 25:30 (Monday 01:30).
- AT-X: Tuesday at 22:30.
The official schedule notes that broadcast times may change, so these regular listings should not be treated as confirmation of a particular episode’s airing time.
