Why it was called a “naked dress”
“Naked dress” is a fashion term for clothing that uses transparent fabric, cutouts or sheer panels to create an illusion of exposure. It does not mean the wearer is literally nude. Lawrence’s dress used nude mesh and floral embroidery; it was not described as a cutout look.

How this look differs from her 2024 Globes gown
At the 2024 Golden Globes, Lawrence wore an archival Givenchy fall 1996 couture design by John Galliano, Vogue reported. Her 2026 gown was credited to Givenchy by Sarah Burton.
