Figure Four Online described the scene as “an angle building up WWE SummerSlam.” UPI also reported the desk slam the following day. Both accounts place the moment within WWE’s storyline promotion, rather than presenting it as a genuine fight.
Why were Jelly Roll, Logan Paul and the wrestlers there?
The segment set up a planned tag-team match at SummerSlam 2025: Jelly Roll and Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. Figure Four Online reported that it would be Jelly Roll’s first WWE match and that he had been training at the WWE Performance Center.

What happened when the storyline continued at SummerSlam?
The talk-show desk spot was the promotional build; the later encounter took place in the scheduled wrestling match. CBS Sports reported that Logan Paul put Jelly Roll through an announce desk during their SummerSlam match. That later spot continued the storyline, but it does not make the earlier television segment a real-life fight.
