TRON: Ares became available to buy digitally on December 2, 2025, and on Blu-ray on January 6, 2026. Disney+ streaming began separately, on January 7, 2026.
When did TRON: Ares come out on digital and Blu-ray?
| Option | Date | What the date means |
|---|---|---|
| Digital purchase | December 2, 2025 | Disney announced the film was available to buy digitally. |
| Blu-ray | January 6, 2026 | Disney announced the date to own the film on Blu-ray. |
| Disney+ streaming | January 7, 2026 | Disney announced the start of subscription streaming, distinct from buying a digital copy. |
Disney’s home-entertainment announcement gives the purchase and disc dates. Its separate Disney+ announcement, dated December 30, 2025, gives the streaming date.
Digital purchase, Blu-ray or streaming: what is the difference?
Digital purchase and streaming are different ways to watch. Disney’s release announcement describes digital as a purchase; its Disney+ announcement describes access through a subscription service. Blu-ray is the physical-disc option. Check the terms offered by the seller or service in your market for the specific access or playback conditions.
Which Blu-ray editions are available?
Disney confirms a Blu-ray release, but its announcement does not specify packaging, technical features or current inventory. Listings may vary by country, and search results may show other formats, including 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray or DVD; those listings should not be treated as confirmation of a particular edition or its availability. Check the format, region, seller and stock before ordering. A straightforward search phrase is “TRON: Ares Blu-ray.”
