“The end of an era” refers to three separate Solo Leveling developments—not a confirmed end to the entire franchise: the reported conclusion of the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel, a reported final volume for the Japanese print edition, and a reported shutdown of a Kakao Entertainment platform in the United States. Each affects a different work, format, or region.
Is Solo Leveling ending?
There is no evidence here that the whole Solo Leveling franchise is ending. The reports concern distinct milestones: a story conclusion for the Ragnarok web novel, the end of a Japanese print edition, and a U.S. digital-platform closure. A final volume in one region or a change in where readers can access a series does not establish that every edition, adaptation, or related work has ended.
What happened to the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel?
A 2025 CBR report says the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel concluded after 375 chapters. It attributes a statement to author Daul, but the English wording was translated by fan account @SoloLevelingGuy, rather than verified here against an original-language statement. The report reproduces it as: “This journey began on April 10, 2023, and now it has come to an end.” CBR’s report concerns the web novel; it should not be treated as confirmation that the webcomic adaptation or the wider franchise has concluded.
Was volume 25 the last Solo Leveling book?
A 2026 secondary report says volume 25 was the final volume of the Japanese print edition, with a reported release date of June 23, 2026. That volume number and date apply to the Japanese edition; they do not establish the final volume number or publication status for English-language or other regional editions. Velleity Note’s report, citing Collider, is not a substitute for confirmation from the Japanese publisher’s catalogue.

If you collect the series, check the language and edition on the listing before buying: “volume 25” refers to the reported Japanese edition, not necessarily the final volume available in your market.
What is ending for Solo Leveling in the United States?
A report dated October 6, 2026 says Kakao Entertainment is shutting down a U.S. platform. The available report excerpt does not identify the service, give a shutdown date, or explain whether readers retain access to previously purchased chapters. It therefore establishes neither the exact scope of the closure nor what readers should do with their accounts or purchases.
Before relying on a specific end date or access plan, look for a notice from Kakao Entertainment that names the service and explains affected titles, purchase and download access, any migration option, and refund terms. Until those details are confirmed, it would be misleading to say that purchased Solo Leveling chapters will remain available—or that they will disappear.

| Reported milestone | Work or format | Territory | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reported conclusion after 375 chapters (CBR, 2025) | Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel | Not specified in the report summarized here | A reported story conclusion for that web novel |
| Volume 25, reported for June 23, 2026 (Velleity Note, 2026, citing Collider) | Solo Leveling print edition | Japan | A reported final volume for that regional edition |
| Reported October 6, 2026 announcement | Kakao Entertainment U.S. platform | United States | A reported distribution or access change; service name, date, and purchase policy are not established by the available excerpt |
These are not interchangeable claims: one describes a web novel’s story, one a regional print edition, and one a platform’s reported closure. None, on its own, establishes that all Solo Leveling content or formats are over.
