The reported ending is specific: the original That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novel’s main story was set to conclude with Volume 23. Toy People’s September 22, 2025 report gave November 29, 2025 as the volume’s scheduled official release date; that is a reported schedule, not confirmation that it was released on that date. The announcement does not mean the entire franchise ended.
What is ending?
The announcement covered the main story of the original light novel series, not every work set in the franchise. Toy People reported that Volume 23 would be the concluding volume. The outlet also described the light novel as having begun in 2013 and characterized its run as 12 years; those figures are Toy People’s account, not independently verified publisher statistics. Toy People, September 22, 2025.
A mirrored report likewise described Volume 23 as ending the light novel’s main story, but it is secondary coverage rather than a primary publisher announcement. Mirrored report
When was the final volume scheduled?
Toy People listed November 29, 2025 as the scheduled official release date for Volume 23. The available reporting does not independently establish the actual release history, nor does it specify regional publication dates or editions. Readers should treat the date as the schedule reported at the time, rather than as confirmation of current availability.

No. Toy People’s report said the “Ways of Enjoying the Holiday” spin-off was still ongoing and that the manga adaptation still had story left to tell when the article was published. That describes the situation as of September 22, 2025, not necessarily the present status of either work. The available sources also do not establish that the anime or every other part of the franchise has ended.
