PerthNow reported the engagement on 14 February 2024, saying the proposal took place the previous Friday.
Why Timezone Fremantle mattered to the couple
According to PerthNow’s report by Zach Margolius, the venue was where Majda and Voysey had their first date, three years before the proposal. The couple also regularly played arcade games together, visiting other Timezone locations around Australia. Majda told the paper they played as often as three times a week.
The pair had met briefly at a party eight years before the report, when both were in relationships, then reconnected on social media. They became official in 2020, PerthNow reported.
How Majda arranged the surprise
Majda reportedly planned the proposal nine months in advance, working with Timezone staff, jeweller Stefan Diamonds and a photographer named Austin. A fake campaign and photoshoot gave Voysey a reason to be at the arcade without revealing the plan.

As part of the cover story, Voysey selected a ring she liked and gave her size under the guise of a jewellery partnership. During the staged arcade visit, Majda presented the ring as a claw-machine prize.
The ring and the proposal
PerthNow described the ring as a 1.5-carat pear-cut diamond. The report also quoted Majda estimating that the couple had won “almost 200,000 tickets” playing arcade games; that was his reported estimate, not an audited total.
