Lady Gaga closed her January 30, 2025, FireAid set at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome with “Shallow,” “Always Remember Us This Way” and a new piano song she said she wrote with Michael Polansky. The new song’s official title is unclear in contemporaneous coverage: reports describe it differently, so it is best identified as the newly performed song rather than by a definitive title.
What songs did Lady Gaga sing at FireAid?
Near the end of the benefit concert, Gaga performed this sequence at the Intuit Dome:
- “Shallow”
- “Always Remember Us This Way”
- A new song performed on piano
The first two songs are from A Star Is Born. The Associated Press and The Guardian report the same sequence, with the new song following the film tracks. Associated Press report; The Guardian’s on-scene report.
What was the new song called?
The cited reports do not establish a consistent official title. The AP quotes Gaga saying, “Time is a healer,” and describes a lyric beginning “All I need is time.” iHeartRadio refers to the song as “Time Is A Healer,” while The Guardian calls it a new song without naming it. Those differences are not enough to confirm a release title, so “the new FireAid song” is the clearest description. AP; iHeartRadio; The Guardian.

Who wrote the FireAid song?
Gaga said she wrote the song with her fiancé, Michael Polansky, for the occasion. The AP reports that she introduced it as “just for tonight” and “just for you.” iHeartRadio quotes her explaining that she wanted to do something hopeful for the audience and had not found an existing song that felt right. The accounts describe a song created for the benefit audience, not a formally announced release. AP; iHeartRadio.
How did the new song fit the FireAid performance?
The set moved from two familiar songs associated with A Star Is Born to an unreleased, occasion-specific piano performance. The Guardian characterized the new song as sounding more Broadway than Gaga’s familiar pop style; that is the newspaper’s description of the performance, rather than a formal genre designation.
