NEON announced a North American theatrical start date of April 10, 2026, for Exit 8. The announcement concerned a nationwide theatrical release across North America; it should not be recast as a U.S.-only date. The date is now historical, rather than an upcoming release window.
For current viewing options, check local theaters and storefront catalogs directly. An Apple TV listing identifies the film as Japanese-language horror/thriller and gives its runtime as 1 hour 35 minutes, but catalog availability can vary by location and date. That listing does not establish every current U.S. rental, purchase, or streaming option.

Exit 8 is a live-action adaptation of the video game created by KOTAKE CREATE. Directed by Genki Kawamura, it follows a man trapped in a subway station who must spot anomalies as he tries to reach Exit 8. NEON’s official film page describes the corridor as central to the film’s unsettling premise.
The setup translates the game’s focused task—watch carefully for irregularities while moving through a seemingly repeating passage—into a horror-thriller scenario. The film’s Japanese theatrical release was distributed by Toho; NEON was named as its North American distributor.
