Alissa Violet and Tana Mongeau have both spoken publicly about relationships with Jake Paul, but their accounts describe different situations—not a single, settled version of what it was like to be with him. Violet said she and Paul never officially dated and that their undefined relationship left her confused. Mongeau said she felt unhappy and agreed to an open relationship to make Paul happy, despite feeling hurt by it. Those are their reported accounts, not independent findings about every aspect of their relationships.
Alissa Violet said her relationship with Paul was never official
In Shane Dawson’s documentary series The Mind of Jake Paul, Violet said, “We never officially dated, ever.” As reported by Just Jared Jr. in 2018, she said they hooked up while she wanted him to be her boyfriend. Because they had not defined what they were, she said, she felt confused.
Violet also described personal and work dynamics overlapping. She said she had signed a contract with companies run by Jake and Logan Paul and was expected to appear in videos, and that she felt used in Team 10 and in the videos. Those are Violet’s descriptions of her experience, not independently established findings about every interaction.
She also addressed the conflict involving Logan Paul. Violet said Jake accused her of cheating, while she maintained that she and Jake had never been together; she said she later hooked up with Logan after feeling hurt and fed up. That sequence is Violet’s account, as reported by Just Jared Jr.

Mongeau said she felt unhappy and pressured by the relationship’s expectations
In a video discussed by Refinery29 in December 2019, Mongeau said she had been “pretending” and that doing so made her unhappy. She said she agreed to an open relationship to make Paul happy, even though it was hurting her.
Mongeau also said she was hurt to learn through Twitter that Paul had met with Erika Costell after the wedding, particularly because she said he had previously criticized Costell to her. She said Paul’s song “Three Days” was about Violet and that this hurt her. These details reflect Mongeau’s perspective as reported at the time; they do not independently establish Paul’s intentions or the full context of those events.

The 2019 ceremony and what Paul said afterward
Paul and Mongeau held a livestreamed wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on July 28, 2019, about five weeks after becoming engaged, according to TIME. A public ceremony does not by itself establish the legal or personal status of a marriage.
In a May 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paul said, “And sometimes you end up getting fake married. So I’ll leave it at that.” ET reported that Paul and Mongeau split five months after the ceremony. His description was his account in 2020, not a legal determination of the ceremony’s status.

Violet later made additional allegations
A 2024 Just Jared retrospective reported that Violet alleged Paul spat on her, shoved her into a thorn bush, and dragged her down stairs. These are serious allegations attributed to Violet. The cited report does not establish an independent adjudication of them, so they should not be presented as proven findings.

The accounts differ in what each person said the relationship was and what troubled them. Violet emphasized the lack of a defined relationship and the overlap between her personal dynamic with Paul and video work. Mongeau described unhappiness and an open-relationship arrangement she said she accepted to please him. Paul later characterized his wedding to Mongeau as fake. These statements offer insight into how the people involved described their experiences, but they are not a complete or independently verified record of private relationships.

- EFFECTIVE IMPACT DISPERSION – Are your training gloves affecting your accuracy? The RDX gloves dissipate the force of impact across the specially made, pre-curved anatomical structure of the sparring gloves due to the presence of Quadro Dome 3 padding, which uses EVA foam and SpongeX sheet. - EXCEPTIONALLY DURABLE MATERIAL – No matter how hard you punch these gloves make sure to outlast your intense training. The use of advanced caliber Maya Hide ConvEX Skin Leather in the KARA Series training gloves makes them durable and reliable for long-term use while also providing a superior look and feel during Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, Kickboxing, and heavy bag training sessions among other similar sports.
- FULL WRAPAROUND WRIST SUPPORT – A hassle-free design with sufficient support for your wrists. The hook and loop Fastener straps provide a secure fit and make it easy to put on or take off the kickboxing gloves for men and women along with providing better wrist support due to the full wraparound wrist strap, while the dual stitching in the heavy bag gloves makes them durable and resilient for extensive training sessions.
- SWEAT-FREE EXPERIENCE – Bid farewell to those sweaty palms and hands. With multiple ventilation holes strategically placed in the thumb sections of the lightweight boxing gloves, RDX ensures proper airflow management so that its customers get a sweat-free experience. Furthermore, the advanced perforated sheet for breathable ventilation in the palm area is sweat-wicking and minimizes sweat accumulation.
For dated current context, the Associated Press reported in February 2026 that Paul and Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam were engaged, after the couple announced their engagement on Instagram in March 2025. The AP report describes their status at that time; it does not establish any broader timeline of Paul’s past relationships.
