What shoes did Kim Kardashian wear?
The shoe identified by AOL/InStyle and TheFashionSpot is the NikeSKIMS Rift Mesh, a mesh sneaker with a split toe. Both reports connect its design to Nike’s Air Rift, which first appeared in 1996. The split-toe shape is the feature most likely to make the shoe polarizing: it gives the sneaker a visibly divided front rather than a conventional rounded toe. AOL/InStyle’s January 20, 2026 report and TheFashionSpot’s January 15, 2026 article identify the shoe, though current retail availability and price are not established by those reports.
AOL/InStyle gave January 26, 2026 as the Rift Mesh launch date. That date is now in the past; it does not establish whether the shoe is currently in stock or what it costs today.

Sheer NikeSKIMS leggings
AOL/InStyle described the leggings as sheer black NikeSKIMS leggings with thin white stripes running along each leg. The publication did not provide an exact product name or SKU. TheFashionSpot characterized the bottoms as fitted black leggings and did not independently confirm the sheer, striped details, so those specifics should be attributed to AOL/InStyle rather than treated as corroborated by both accounts.

The jacket was identified as a Phoebe Philo leather design, reported at approximately $22,000 by AOL/InStyle and TheFashionSpot. AOL/InStyle described it as baggy, studded, and finished with a built-in belt and matching embellished cuffs. Neither report establishes an exact model name or verifies the amount against a current listing; $22,000 is a reported price, not a confirmed present-day price.
When was the outfit worn?
The timing is not clear enough to assign a precise date. The January 20 AOL/InStyle story described a Los Angeles outing the previous week, while TheFashionSpot’s January 15 article referred to an outing the night before its publication. AOL’s search-result image label gives October 27, 2025, which does not align neatly with those descriptions. The available reporting therefore supports identifying the look as a recent Los Angeles outing as described by the January 2026 articles, but not stating a definitive date.

Is this the same as Kardashian’s 2017 sheer-leggings look?
No. A September 12, 2017 Who What Wear report covered a different outfit: sheer high-waisted leggings over black bikini briefs, a leather bandeau and blazer, and Yeezy clear plastic mules. Those shoes and styling details belong to that earlier look, not the NikeSKIMS outfit discussed here.
